I’ve discussed in previous posts why I think Squarespace is best for busy small business owners, and why it’s a great, supportive platform for female-founded and led creative small businesses. I share this opinion as a Wordpress and WiX veteran, and while each project is different, Squarespace is super hard to beat.

I mentioned above that I use to work with Wordpress, and I’ve also worked with WiX! WiX had a neat-o program that trained individuals online to become Certified WiX Webmasters. The program is long gone now, but I was one of the trainees.
I got to know WiX very well, and at the end of the day, I opted to create my business around Squarespace, not WiX. I don’t offer Wordpress services anymore either. In this post, I dive deep into the reasons why I believe Squarespace is the right tool for the job.
Lauren Hooker, the mastermind behind the fabulous world of Elle & Company has been talking about Squarespace since 2015. Her blog has some shiny gems of information on the topic of Squarespace as well as branding and business.
Though this post was written in 2015, the information contained within this post is still relevant and helpful today. It’s definitely worth a read and offers a great introduction to Squarespace.
Nora Conrad is one of the first women I encountered that wrote blog posts about Squarespace. Like Lauren Hooker, she’s been around for a few years as well, and like Lauren, her post on Squarespace is older but still super helpful.
