Unsplash is basically the mother of all free stock photography sites. Spread via word of mouth, this site has gained in popularity for it’s crisp, clean images, and near staggering variety.
I find this site almost as captivating as Pinterest.
As if all the images were not enough, Unsplash made things even more pleasant by making it possible to create your own collections. You can even view collections created and made public by other users for added inspiration.

02. Pexels - Free
Pexels is equally delightful. Plenty of content photography ideas and stock photos that are perfect for small businesses. Like Unsplash, it’s possible to create and save your own collections.

03. Pixabay - Free
Another free stock photography site that is chock full of photos. Pixabay claims to have over 1 million photos, so there’s no shortage of stock photography ideas. Don’t forget to create yourself an account and start saving your brand inspo.

The sites below are all free stock photography sites and offer a little something extra. You’ll find that Kaboompics, for example, offers quite a few free feminine stock photos as well as travel and lifestyle shots. Splitshire is edgier, and so on. Life of Pix is adventurous and fun. Enjoy!
04. Kaboompics - Free
Running a lifestyle or travel-based business? Maybe you’ve got yourself a fabulous food blog. Kaboompics is your savior. Dreamy stock photography examples await you here. Seriously gorgeous pics.
Female-founded Kaboompics offers both swoon-worthy stock photography and color palettes, so if you’re looking for more branding inspo, this site will serve you well.
05. Splitshire - Free
Splitshire is a pretty sweet site for free stock photography. It’s a super attractive site and yet still easy to navigate.

06. Life of Pix - Free
A fun site, Life of Pix is a community of photographers as well as a stock photography site rich with ideas and inspiration. This is not your usual stock photo site, in fact, nothing on this list is dull, and Life of Pix offers a little something extra.
The site has some styled stock photos and some scenes that may be out of the ordinary. This mix of both makes for a pleasant scroll through the interwebs.

07. Haute Stock - Paid
Another female-founded and led stock photography brand, Haute Stock is the grand dame of paid, styled stock photography. If you signup for the newsletter, you’ll get 25 images free plus monthly free images.
The site has no shortage of brand inspo. Haute Stock was created with the girlboss in mind. Looking for desk shots, cozy coffee scenes, and lady boss ideas - Haute Stock has it! Membership for 3 months of unlimited photos begins at $99.

08. Style Stock Society - Paid
Girl boss lead Style Stock Society is a paid site, and like Haute Stock, Style Stock Society will get things started with a few free feminine stock photos. The membership is well-priced at $75 every 3 months.
09. Stock Shop - Paid
Shay Cochrane started her own stock photography site to help social media mavens slay. Her photos are useful for websites, too, so I’m including this gem of a site on the list.
You can share your email with the Stock Shop in exchange for 20 free photos. Every month you’ll get a few more free feminine stock photos. The stock photography site has plenty of inspiration which is shared on the blog and in tutorials.

10. Death to Stock Photo - Paid
Death to Stock is like the paid version of Splitshare. DTS has plenty of dark and moody shots, but it’s also edgier. If your brand is bold and likes to stand out, then consider this site as a source of stock photography inspiration. DTS also has video!
